By accessing and using pythonbook.io ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Use of Service

pythonbook.io provides a free, browser-based Python development environment. You may use the Service for:

  • Writing, running, and testing Python code
  • Learning programming and data science
  • Creating and sharing code snippets
  • Developing Jupyter-style notebooks
  • Educational and non-commercial purposes

3. Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Execute malicious code or malware
  • Attempt to compromise or attack other systems
  • Mine cryptocurrency
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Distribute spam or unsolicited content

4. Privacy and Data

Your code runs entirely in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers. Data saved via auto-save is stored in your browser's local storage only. We do not collect, store, or have access to your code. For more information, please read our Privacy Policy.

5. Shared Code

When you use the "Share" feature, your code is compressed and included in a URL. Anyone with access to that URL can view and run your code. Do not share sensitive information, credentials, or private data through share URLs.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall pythonbook.io, its operators, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service's source code, design, and content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to the code you write using the Service.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service uses Pyodide (Python compiled to WebAssembly) and various open-source libraries. These are governed by their respective licenses. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to the Service or other users.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
